Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information Quarry Top Garden Supplies collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and the times you phone, email or visit the yard.
Who we are
Quarry Top Garden Supplies, Chesterfield Road, Eckington, Sheffield S21 4BD, is responsible for your information. To ask about anything in this notice, ring 01246 433553 or email quarrytopgarden@hotmail.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you phone, email or call in: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and what you order or ask about.
- When you visit this website: the website has no forms and no tracking or advertising cookies. Like every website, the servers that deliver it see your IP address and browser details, which are kept briefly in security logs.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions, quote, take and deliver orders — because you asked us to, or to carry out our agreement with you.
- To keep sales and accounting records — because the law requires it.
- To keep this website running and secure — because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Who else sees it
- Our website provider, EatApp, and its hosting company, Vercel, which deliver this website.
- Google. The fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. The map on our contact page is a Google map that only loads if you press “Show map”; Google may then set its own cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Microsoft, which provides our email.
- Our accountant, and anyone we are required by law to share it with.
Some of these companies store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This website does not set any cookies of its own. The Google map on our contact page may set Google cookies, so it only loads if you press “Show map”.
If we add anything that uses cookies which are not essential to the website working — for example visitor statistics or social media features — we will ask for your permission before setting them and update this notice.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for six years, as HMRC requires. Other messages and enquiries are kept only as long as we need them to deal with what you asked.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Contact us using the details above; there is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We will update this notice if how we use information changes. Last updated 28 October 2026.
